Our Story
In 2023, Nathan, an independent creator and musician, set out to break down the barriers holding artists back in the music world. Frustrated by the limitations of the traditional industry — lack of visibility, restricted access to collaborations, and opportunities often reserved for a closed circle — he envisioned an open, inclusive, and innovative platform: Music Connect Universe (MCU).
The concept was simple yet ambitious: democratize access to the music universe, connect artists, fans, and industry professionals, and allow everyone to create, share, and collaborate without borders.
2023 – Laying the Foundations
- Shaping the concept and platform vision
- Forming a small, passionate team of artists, developers, and entrepreneurs
- Beginning technical development and creating the MCU brand identity
- Establishing the first partnerships with independent musicians
2024 – Launch and First Successes
- Beta version of the platform goes live
- First artists join and release music under MCU Records
- Hosting the first online community events (listening parties, contests, workshops)
- Adding services like mastering, artist networking, and a music shop
2025 – Expansion and Global Vision
- Revamping the visual identity and launching the new website
- Rolling out dedicated spaces:
- MCU School: online training and artistic coaching
- MCU Community: collaboration and networking hub
- MCU Shop: instruments, merch, and professional services
- Expanding the network internationally (Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland)
- Boosting cross-genre collaborations (rock, EDM, rap, ambient, etc.)
